Quality Coordinator

Role Purpose:
The Quality Coordinator ensures that all construction activities comply with project specifications, building regulations, and quality standards. They act as the on-site point of contact for quality assurance, supporting the delivery of a defect-free project.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with project quality plans, specifications, and relevant standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify non-conformances.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality documentation.
  • Prepare and submit quality reports to the Project Manager and Quality Manager.
  • Track and close out non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.

Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Support site teams in implementing quality procedures and best practices.
  • Facilitate quality-related meetings and toolbox talks.

Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:

  • Experience in quality assurance within residential construction projects.
  • Knowledge of building regulations ISO 9001 principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. degree in Construction/Quality Management).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
