Due to continued expansion we require a Senior Authorised Person (SAP)
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and carry out HV/EHV switching operations, isolations, and network activities in accordance with company safety rules and operational procedures.
- Issue and manage safety documentation, including Permits to Work, Sanctions for Test, and Limitations of Access, ensuring safe working practices at all times.
- Lead fault response, commissioning, maintenance, and outage activities to support the safe and reliable operation of electrical networks.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to operational staff and contractors, ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, approve switching schedules and operational procedures, and maintain accurate operational records and authorisation documentation.
Requirements
- Current Senior Authorised Person (SAP) a
- Significant experience operating and maintaining HV electrical systems
- Strong understanding of electrical safety rules and network operations.
- Experience in commissioning, maintenance, fault response, and outage management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Relevant electrical engineering qualification (HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent).
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel to operational sites as required.
