Project Overview

Set on the grounds of the former University College Cork School of Architecture, we were appointed to provide a multi-phase conversion of the existing buildings into modern, high-specification student accommodation.

Phase 1 comprised the reinstatement of the external façade to meet the requirements of the new apartment layout, the construction and fitout of two new five-bedroom, en-suite apartments with communal kitchens to each, and construction and fitout of a new gymnasium and laundrette.

Phase 2 involved the construction and turnkey fitout of 34 new apartments containing 134 additional bedrooms, four of which are disabled accessible units. Apartments consisted of two, three, four and five beds with communal kitchens to each apartment. We also delivered a new ground floor communal space, including chill out / relaxation areas, seating pods and booths, study areas, canteen area, gaming area, coffee dock and tutorial zone.

Phase 3 involved the construction and fitout of a further 28 apartments containing 104 bedrooms, bringing the total number of new beds provided to 232.
