Lead Quality Engineer

Location: Wexford

Job Overview
We are seeking a Lead Quality Engineer to join our team on a major infrastructure and development project in Wexford.

The successful team member will play a crucial role in the implementation of the Project Quality Plan and the Company Quality Management System and the project adheres to regulatory requirements (BC(A)R).

This position involves monitoring and evaluating construction processes, materials, and workmanship to guarantee the delivery of high-quality projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address quality issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensuring works are carried out complying with the company quality control procedures and protocols in place
  • Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and project specifications.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports documenting inspection findings, non-conformities, and corrective actions taken.
  • Ensuring the material and the work performance are as per specification;
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings, site visits, and project reviews to provide quality assurance support and guidance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Thorough understanding of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, codes, and standards applicable to the construction industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
