Key Responsibilities
- Act as environmental focal point for site-based teams and support them to develop and implement environment and sustainability management plans
- Provide technical support on a project level, to comply with environmental regulations and continually improve performance against our sustainability targets and commitments
- Engage with project sustainability champions, construction managers, and other stakeholders (client, designer, suppliers, sub-contractors, etc.) to communicate requirements and collect data on the following:
- Environment & sustainability management plans
- Material technical submittals, including environmental product declarations.
- Embodied carbon from building materials, transport and construction of buildings, including on-site fuel, electricity, water and waste.
- Communicate project environment & sustainability requirements to project managers and champions.
- Support with developing templates, action plans and tools, plus associated training & technical support for users.
- Prepare periodic progress reports and input data into Procore audit & inspection forms, registers & checklists.
- Support the Sustainability Manager with Sustainability Strategy on a corporate level, to contribute towards corporate Sustainability targets and commitments.
- Support with any applications for awards, certifications or recognition programmes.
- Support with producing annual CSRD Sustainability Reports.
- Support with integration and rollout of SustainIQ software for reporting and disclosures, including automation of target/ KPI/ metric tracking.
- Support the Sustainability Manager on all matters relating to Sustainability
Requirements
- Degree, or higher in an environmental or sustainability related discipline
- Adaptable to a challenging work environmental
- Full Irish drivers licence and ability to travel extensively to sites across Ireland
- 2 years in an environmental management Role
- Understanding of environmental best practices and regulations for construction projects
- Experience in embedding environmental best practice and implementing sustainability action plans
- Experience in construction stages of major development projects, is highly desirable
