Contract involved enabling works followed by construction of two storey Research & Development facility at Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork.








- Construction and fitout of a two-storey “L” shaped extension (2,000m²) abutting existing manufacturing plant
- Scope of contract includes main contractor for all works including the procurement, coordination, installation, testing and commissioning of all specialist services and Client equipment
- Areas include production area, laboratories and cleanroom
- Internal fit out works comprised all specialist floor, wall and ceiling finishes including installation, testing, commissioning and validation of mechanical & electrical systems and equipment
- 19 ISO 7/8 clean room’s for bulk filter membrane (1,690m²)
- Installation of high specification laboratories to a bespoke design
- The Lab furniture incorporated concealed medical gas, DI water, vacuum, power and data containment, all integrated into high level bench pedestals
- Maintaining all critical services, utilities and plant live during the construction works
- Reinforced concrete construction substructure including piled foundations
- The structure comprised of a structural steel frame, including a composite metal deck at first floor level
- The building façade comprised of insulated metal cladding with removable panels & glazing
- Working in a live manufacturing \ pharmaceutical site
