UCD Science Centre South, Dublin 4

This 9,160 sq.m Science Research and Teaching Centre comprises of the new build of a science research and laboratory wing of 3,805 sq.m and the full refurbishment of approximately 5,355 sq.m of an existing building to facilitate the administration and teaching block. The building also includes a louvered roof plantroom area at level 5.
The research area includes Category 2 and 3 laboratories, microscopy, Class 10000 cleanroom, autoclave, and cold and warm room facilities for bio-nano and  bio-pharma research. Isolation area, changing rooms, report write-up and administration areas are also included.
Works included the full co-ordination, installation, commissioning and validation of mechanical, electrical and ICT services, together with all laboratory FF&E.
All associate siteworks including utilities and hard and soft landscaping were included in the scope. Works are taking place on a live university campus in the vicinity of highly sensitive research and teaching facilities.
